High Summit
Never again in Santa Fe will this much land adjacent to National Forest overlooking all of Santa Fe and beyond be entitled for land sales. The home sites sit some 1000′ overlooking the entire Santa Fe basin, and garner much of the characteristics of it’s sister community, called Santa Fe Summit. The High Summit has several sections that favor specific views – one to the south over the city proper and off to the Ortiz and Sandia Mountains to the south, one to the west and the plains west of Santa Fe continuing off to the Jemez Mountains and the Badlands to the north, and a third that faces the immediate Sangre de Cristo Mountains and the National Forest that encompass them. Each view is breathtaking, and with the sloping topography the dramatic views are never encumbered by a neighbor.

Another aspect of the High Summit is security. It is one of only a handful of developments in all of Santa Fe to have a staffed/gated entrance for security purposes. This feature along with the views are two strong reasons both the High Summit and the Santa Fe Summit have been so successful. Both communities are the brainchild of longtime Santa Fe resident, Ralph Brutsche. His commitment to excellence has attracted celebrities and locals alike. The price range of homes start at just under $1 million, and in 2009 the Santa Fe Summit subdivision had a whopping $8 million sale. The average price point is in the $1.2 to $1.4 range.

Nestled on the mountainside far above Santa Fe, the landscape is home not only to the familiar mix of Pinon and Juniper, but is high enough to enjoy stands of tall growing Ponderosa Pines. Between the views and beautiful landscape it is easy to see why the High Summit is one of the most exciting places to live in all of Santa Fe.
